Guido Mondani celebrates 100 years of Rolex watches with a new edition

2008 represents the first centennial of Rolex and Guido Mondani, one of the most important Rolex collectors in the world and editor of many publications about this brand, will celebrate this important event with a new special limited edition titled “1908 - 2008: 100 years of Rolex”.

This book, with more than 340 pages, is a journey through history, tradition, and culture to tell the past and the present successes of the leading brand in the world of horology.

The course of Rolex history and the main stages along its journey are told by facts, images, advertising campaigns, vintage posters and coloured pictures of all the Rolex watches that have made history.

It is showed the most recent price adjudicated to many Rolex watches sold in international auctions.

Starting from the creation of the Maison Rolex in 1908, passing through all the innovations that characterized and revolutionized the world of horology, until the very last models presented in the 2008 edition of Basel fair, as the new Day – Date models with a size of mm 41 and the amazing Sea – Dweller DEEPSEA Waterproof to an extreme depth of 3900 metres (12.800 feet), Guido Mondani wants to offer to all the collectors and aficionados the possibility to have a wide knowledge about Rolex and to know all those important steps that made Rolex a timeless pleasure.
